Going back to 1988 as a young dynamic club & dj organisation KlubKidz our roots have been firmly placed not only within the Radio world but also club promotions worldwide tours and dj representation.
Joey Vasquez the founder of WDRFM started back in 1988 working for and helping to set up various pirate radio stations across London, Portsmouth and Liverpool.
Counting two major radio stations to his involvement, is the very recognisable Kool 94.5FM and Impact 88.2FM both of these stations back in 1990 and 1991 played a huge role in forming the London Underground scene for what it is today not only by the fresh dj talent that came through it's doors that helped to launch many careers of well known dj's still going strong today.
There have also been many illegal radio stations founded and set up in Germany, Hungary and Russia but due to the nature of those countries we cant elaborate on the year or places any more than that, except they were big and most defiantly made there mark!
Musical achievements have been vast, with well over 30 different record releases and un-countable remixes penned by him under numerous different names and titles like Fire & Ice, Sakana, Circuit 69, Midnight Massacre, Playground, Jimmy Fingers, Mad Axe, Subliminal Liquid, he has been in many ways a major figure within the club rave and underground scene not only here in the UK but right across the world and many of you around the globe may well have heard him play already.
Still playing out as one of the best international dj's from the UK under the globally known POWERHOUSE TOUR now in it's 4th term, with a list of country credits that spans from every corner of the world to date 2007. As well as running his own club nights in many countries over the years and hosting some of the biggest parties, Hosting his own radio shows on Radio One (Greece Summer uncovered) Kiss 100 (Germany).
The experience this has brought to us has helped to make Worlddance Radio over 6 years into a major phenomenon right across the globe with clubbers, ravers, promoters, record labels, even major organisations all taking a huge interest in many of the dj's. Today with several studios located in London England, Johannesburg South Africa & Sydney Australia things are really going well for all of us involved.
Our Figures to date are not equalled by any other radio station over the internet by major corporation or independent radio companies, Its normal to see over 200.000 people joining the website to listen and enjoy what on offer every month and these figures grow each time.
We have become the finest most dedicated family of dj's mc's producers and promoters working as a team that total over 100 strong around the world, and growing bigger is the real goal in all this to bring to you the best audio and visual entertainment that you will ever come across.
So what's next! Well here at WDRFM we are all very excited about the future and are gearing up for the new radio studio's opening very soon in Sydney, headed by Clint Wuest who will be in charge of operations for Australia.
