Joy Orbison is ‘Slipping’ on new EP

Joy Orbison has a new EP titled ‘Slipping’ coming out on October 18.

The six-track effort marks his first outing of 2019. It will be released through the Hinge Finger label he co-founded with Will Bankhead.

Lead track ‘Burn’ features Infinite and Mansur Brown, creating a smooth sound touching on downtempo by pairing warm bassweight and organic percussion. They each clock up a second feature in the tracklist, while Keyah Blue guests on ‘Under’.

The artwork a photo of Joy Orbison’s nan from the ‘70s. He wrote on Instagram: “This photo really makes me smile, my mum summed it up the best tho—”Washing on the line, empty pond and my mum doing the three things she loved the most: sunbathing, smoking and a glass of something.” There’s clearly a lot to learn here (get pissed in the garden more), but I see it as a reminder to make the most of what you have.”

Listen to ‘Burn’ and check out the tracklist below.
